Cliff you expressed that beautifully. For a post to make you both laugh and cry at the same time must be both very well written and about someone very special.

As you say Mark was that person. He certainly had a lust for life that held me in awe. I was always amazed by what he accomplished, he certainly had a knack for getting things done.

I can happily say i will take inspiration from him, whenever i think something may be hard, I'll know that mark would see it as a little challenge and just get on with it.

Mark our thoughts are with you wherever you may be

    Very well put Cliff
I must admit to having shed a tear over what has happened but also a tear of laughter when i got to the part about Mark and his spangley pants and the wheel chair on bricks as i laighed so much when i seen the pic.
I cant help but think that Mark will be looking down and saying to him self "daft beggers"

    God bless Mark and family

Nice words Cliff, as said on the other thread I only found out today and to say stunned is an understatement. Real character was Mark which makes it so sad , BBS will be a quiet place without him(even if he was banned again!). R.I.P Mark.

Thing is, when people argue and bitch at each other on here all the time you often get the replies "Chill out or calm down its only an internet forum, it's not real life"

This goes to show that it is real life. How many people's lives has Mark touched ? and without these forums how many of those people would never have had the chance to get to know Mark ? Or meet him and become friends ?
I had the chance of a few conversations with Mark via PM's on here and other forums and can only say what others have said.

if a more true analagy of the BBS and the way it draws people together could be said I for one have yet to hear it, I have met Cliff top and indeed quite a few people of here and everything that cliff has said is totally right, Mark and I spent many an hour on the phone and only because of circumstances beyond our control meant we missed our planned meetings, I remember our first telephone conversation where he gave me something my doctors never managed and that was hope, the hope and understanding I was not alone with my particular problem and that night I slept better, I have since tried to do the same for others that Mark did that night fo r me and I hope i have managed to help others as much as Mark helped me that night. This place, this internet forum a place where like minded people chat and discuss our lives our loves and our hates has built many friendships and I for one would be a lot worse of without it, we have something special here something unique lets hope we never loose it, thank you cliff for your well thought out and worded post it made me cry and reminded me of how lucky we are to have such good frends. so tonight may good bless every one of you on here and thankyou all for the thoughts and words

how did i miss this sad and unhappy news? im sat here numb at the news of marks passing, with tears in my eyes.
i met mark a few times and can honestly say ive yet to meet a truer gentleman. although i nicknamed him trigger due to him forgetting my names tony and calling me "dave" instead.
im going to the funeral to pay my respects to a great character on here.

sadly missed trigger - rest in peace mate

Thanks for the insight into the man, funny how in this virtual living room, pub and sometimes shoot, you feel an affinity bond etc with people we only meet in narrative.

Thanks again Cliff. I for one will miss his contribution.
My condolences to his family, may MAD MARK rest in peace.

Touching post, Cliff. Very well said.

Mark's story about his missus finding his socks after he had been 'using' them still makes me laugh out loud when I think about it. Bless you Mark.
