Hi Binner's,
Not really my field these...but what a beauty...I saw a few of these recently at the last B/ham arms fair. The cheapest (boxed) example was £1,000+ & others considrably more.... Yours appears to be in good order & from a well known retailer,so my guesstimate would be...as above.
I look forwards to other BBS members thoughts & observations on your cane,ATB,Chris.
I would like to know if anyone had ever stuck one through the chrono coz this thing makes a rather loud bang.

This is the reply I had from someone who has been collecting and repairing Air Canes for many years.
.. ......
Looks a very nice breech loading cane in what looks like
original condition, though the pump may have been re-damascened as it looks too good.
Check the Birmingham address as this will give you the date.
The box looks right as I had a similar Conway with the screws along the top.
If all the accessories are there and is holding air around
£2,750 to £3,750.
Damn- i turned one down for thirty quid about twenty years ago
yours is in very fine codition though

I remember about near 30 years ago AGW did an article on them. They suggested getting the things pressure tested before using them. Re power I think it fired an .50 calibre ball through a piece of oak---Inch thick? I seem to remember the one they had used something like an allen key as the trigger.
A gentlemans weapon. As you only got 1 shot, I assume you wounded the ruffian and then clubbed him to death with the cane?
Now for sale £1250
Have you tested that it holds air over a time? and have you fired ?regards
Oooh, if only I had £1250. Looks lovely, have you had it long?
