Check the cylinder timing very carefully on these. ( not this particular one by the sounds of it)
Early models had a reputation for short timing, i.e cylinder stops between stations unless the hammer is pulled all the way back against the frame slot. Early ones had a history of short hands.
If you look at many other repos, the cylinder will index to next chamber position, bolt will engage and then hammer will pick up the full cock notch without having to touch frame slot or put another way go beyond full cock to index and lock the cylinder.
If you don't pay attention to a short timed gun it gets pretty frustrating lining up the shot only for it to clunk down and mark the cylinder.
Apart from this early quirk that was rectified after the late '80s as said there is not a lot that can match them for fit and finish
