    Home made air rifle ???

A chap I know from work has brought this in to show me, He said he's granfather was a engineer and he made it, I dont know if it was made from scratch or has he took some parts from something else? It fires a 10/11 mm ball, The barrel is 20/21" long , Total length is 40/41". It has a button for a trigger.

    Any thoughts Guys.

    Home made rifle.

Hi, I doubt very much this is a home made job. I have seen similar guns at auctions go for good money. The apparent leather stock is the giveaway. Some research into this is advised, could well be very collectable and valuable. Although the condition is poor it could still be a rare item and even be a museum piece.

    Air Canes

These come up for sale at the Fairs like Bisley and Birmihngham . This looks genuine and old , and even if it was not would be a nice collectible to own . It looks old and the case obviously more recent - I think this guys grandad made the case for it , not the actual cane . Nice to see all the bits with it . I have seen these go for cheap £150 rough to a lot lot more ...£££££'s and then some. Collecters like to see who actually made it - by stripping down the valve - there may be an inscription . Some peeps go mad for these . Would love to see a Combro strapped to the end of this thing - would probably end up in Space

    added :
Although a Cane , this one has the added Shoulder Stock instead of the usual walking stick knob . Nice find and appaers in very collectible condition ....
