I am thinking of thinning out my collection, the youth of today seems not very interested , so not much point in hanging on to it for my son.
As it says a 1950's Challenger Plainsman AirShotgun .280, comes with an orignal packet of shells, although it does not contain many!
I will try and post pictures later in the week, I would describe condition as good to very good.
I am trying to look at a guide for a value.

A rare piece, particulary in the UK. If it's in working order, original and complete I would say around the £200 - £230 mark to the right collector. The last one I saw sold in the US made $380 and it was in good condition with half a box of original shells.

As it says, is there an easy to follow idiots guide to upload images ?
Steve
On their way
Glyn, seem to have problems sending to your email to big aparently. How do I post myself?
I Have never heard of one of these
I have seen the crosman air shotgun though but they are on FAC now so people have told me?
is it co2 or spring??
It is an old 1950's pneumatic / pump up, it need resealing and is probably more of a collectable than shootable, they are quiet rare, and if I could work out how to put photos up I would post some
Here I hope is a link to the images

Yep, the link works fine Steve. Sorry my email wouldn't let you send them to me
Excuse my ignorance but I know nothing about these guns. Are they FAC? How much shot do the cartridges hold?
atb, Glyn
Thats a Crossman 140 !!!!
Just kidding, but I bet the working bits are the same ( here is a pic of a very tired 1950,s 140 ) but still shooting, Its the one running horizontally.

As regards shooting, like the owner say,s They are not very good as a shotgun , However ?
As regards value, I would say £150-£200 ish is about right, It looks in good condition, Especially for the year, & is pretty rare here in the UK. Nice Gun !
Cheers, Ged.
