Hey,
After running my xs78 through a chronogaph i was appalled to see it was only running at just below 9 lb/f instead of the advertised 10.5 ( i have had it for a year now).
I just wanted to know if there is anything I or a gunsmith can do to tune it and increase its power?
Any advice very appeciated
Dan

It was so appalling that you didn't notice for a year? Hmm,...
There are lots of tuning guides on the net, search for QB78. Be very careful because most of them are written by yanks who have no problem getting 16ftlb out of them so take it easy.
Cheers for the advice guys, and i handnt noticed for a year becausei hardly ever use that rifle! Only reason i ran it through a chronograph was because it didnt feel right.
Anyway cheers for the help
Hi, ring Terry Robb (gunsmiths) on 01268 752888. He sells a kit that comes with a video to change the guts of the gun. This takes it up to full power.
i ve heard 177 are harder and wont make 10 is this true anyone
wow now this is a long running thread
.177's are more difficult to get to 10ftibs but it is possible. Had mine at 10.5ftibs when it had a full length barrel on it, but it was a gas hog at that level.
for the definitive answers check out the chinese airgun forum. What they don't know about tuning these ain't worth knowing.

hi,i go along with whitey, there is nothing about these guns those guys dont know and they are very helpful and welcoming to the forum ,costs very little to get them shooting really nice,no need to buy kits if you have a modicum of mechanical ability, dont over do it though with the tuning .they go ott suprisingly easy if its a.22 cal..cheers greasemonkey
