    Lea Valley HFT 19-12-09 RESULTS

What a beautiful day, bright sunshine and snow albeit bitterly cold. Mike had spent his Friday setting out 15 targets in the woods and 15 in range 1, so I think he deserves our thanks and thanks to everyone helping out to get the course in. Excellent shooting by Barry Smith (59) and Jamie J in the Springers (53). Not sure how the 56`s were sorted out, but well done to Mike C and Dopper.

Must just mention Laity`s latest rig. Last few shoots he`s had a lovely Steyr, but he showed today that he can shoot the BSA R10 just as well. and gotta say that new Hawke has some lovely optics.
Last meeting at LV before Christmas , so have a good one and perhaps see you all before the new year.

I am sorry to say that " Who the F&*^ is Barry" scored a 57 and NOT a 59 , the reason for this is there was a target pulled... Just thought i would say Nahh mate just kidding, had a really great day today, thanks for WTFIB and Dop and Rog B for putting up with me. A great course and did it ever look lovely with the snow!!

Thanks LV for a wonderful day.

    BSA alllllllllllllll the way!!!!!!

Missed you Ian, mate but never mind -
    YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN RINSED

Thanks Andy for getting the scores up so quick.

I gotta say even though my trigger finger lost all feeling in the woods, I have never shot on a more stunning day, the woods were magical with all the snow and bright sun filtering through and the bowl on Range 1 could have been set up in the Cairngorms, we even had a deer running along the ridge.
Fantastic day, well done Barry that was a top display of shooting mate.

Even Laity and the BSA/Hawke combo seemed to be on form...

Would have come if not for the stinking rotten cold I had and now turned into a chest infection I would have loved to shoot in the snow

A good turnout again and well done to Mike for setting the course.

Hope to be at the next one if I don't cough myself inside out before!

    Steve.
