Most tweakable C02 Pistol

Having had a hiatus from shooting for the last 10 years or so, I've decided to give it another go, as my little un (8yo) is now shooting my old bb gun that I had when I was little.

Followed said Daisy BB slinger with an ASI Sniper, then a Diana 52, and then sold the 52 when the nipper came along.

Now looking for a C02 Pistol to tweak, accuracy, trigger etc, quite like the looks of the CP88/99's etc, but also the 2240

Which base model has the biggest range of mods to the amateur? .177 cal preferred, mostly for plinking maybe some target work, and poss some Practical Pistol, if I can ever find anywhere that does it.... (and yes I know, two very different disciplines, but not averse to buying more than one gnu lol)

the 2240/1740 are the most modable pistols by a country mile.
