what about the cps isn't that the same? i haven't seen one but i think its the same shape??
After months of buying, trying, selling, buying, trying......etc, I've come up with a plan.
I was first inspired by this photo http://umarexboysclubforum.myfinefor.../about701.html sent in by Daniel. I really liked the display. Of all the pistols that have been through my hands the CP99 variants have left a lasting impression. I had one and then sold it, I've always regretted that, it was mint.
I now own another CP99, it's good but not mint, fitted with a CP99 laser and a Weihrauch type silencer. This is the one I currently use for the Optical part of the Police Comp. I've also recently obtained a CP99 compact in black. For a plinker this is great fun, I love the blow back action.
Anyway the plan is to collect the various CP99 pistols & the blow back models.
That means a total of 8 pistols, Desert Eagle, CP99 - Black, Black/Nickel, Military Green, CP99 Compact - Black, Black/Nickel, PPK - Black, Black/Nickel.
It was going to be just 8, but then Bill pointed out the PX4. Now it's 9
This is getting silly now
AD K has just bought the Trophy CP99 to my attention. Now it's 10
I have 2 so there's 8 to find. I've placed a Wanted ad.
I'll keep you all to date with my progress.

Ok, here's an update for you.
I've bought a very nice PX4 from the BBS, so that's got that box ticked.
There would have been a nice Desert Eagle, but I was dealing with a chimp, so that fell through. Not I will add, astraman, he's cool.
The most recent is a PPK/S that I bought new at the weekend, a black one, brand new. It was my birthday on Friday so I thought I'd treat myself. It's brilliant, Ive dispatched Odd Job, Goldfinger & most of S.P.E.C.T.R.E. this weekend It's hopelessly inaccurate, but it's just so cool
Watch this space there's more to come.

Many happy returns for Friday Paul, and good choice with the PPK. As you say, hopelessly inaccurate but so much fun. The names Bond, James Bond.
I have a plan to install a rifled barrel in mine to see if that will improve accuracy. I've got the bit of barrel, I just need to schedule a little workshop time to machine it.
There's a pic of mine with it's modified cartridge screw fitted here lower left below the S&W.
