I have seen a used pro target that has been dipped "carbon fibre" can it be removed without damaging the gun under it ?

From what I remember, they roughen the surface to key it when being dipped...read lightly sand all over.......so it'll probably look awful underneath.

IIRC, don't Hydrographics remove the underlying finish with an abrasive to key the surface in preparation for the dipping process?
