Militia .25 Smoothbore

"Manufactured in Germany" stamped on top of octagonal section of barrel. Very feint "Militia" engaved on side of octagonal section. Push button barrel lock/release which is showing signs of wear resulting in barrel "drooping" slightly unless held in place when fired. Parts need building up with weld perhaps and reprofiling back to original to eliminate sloppiness. Unless you only want to hang this gun on the wall it is going to need a fair bit of restoration. Most of the original finish (Nickle plate) has gone and there is a fair amount of pitting. The stock has evidence of old cracks and like the rest of the gun has seen better days. All said and done it is still a very nice collectable and is probably about 100 years old.
I paid £120 a little while ago to H.... K.... so I think it must be worth £60 collected.
