The recoil is more of a snap.
I love my lightning gas strut, choose It ahead of my Weihrauch and Theoben rammers. It is just such a good little lightweight rifle.

I havent noticed anything. Gas rams seem to be a bit of a love hate thing. If you are unsure I would try one somewhere. I much prefer the snappy recoil but my shooting mate hates it

I love my HW90. It's a bit ring-y, 'though that really can't be attributed to the ram.

It feels quicker than the springers I've tried.

In all honesty spending V-Mach kind of money on a lightning is a waste of money. I'm not even sure that they do them?

If you want to go down the V-Mach route your looking at the Weihrauchs.

If you have a lightning already the £70 quid for a gas ram is a good improvement.

Ye they do them... its on BAR for the lightning.
tbh i like the feel of the lightning, and the v-machs advertised for £72.75 + postage so there aint to much in price difference.
i am willing to spend that to get it running smoothly and at about 11.2-11.5 ft/lbs
To be fair.... I am probably the worst shot in the uk.....even with a shotgun

    Sorry,

I thought you meant the proper V Mach treatment, not just the DIY kit. Huge price difference

thats the reason im interested mate, i like the feel of mine too.
would be very happy to have it running smoothly and at that power.
if the v-mach does that i will pay it?

only thing that puts me off retrofit rams is they arnt ajustable like the theoben ones....so if you fit one and its to low or over you are stuck...and i suspect they put them lower than ness. to cover themselves but no personal experience of them...
