Today saw round 3 of the springer championship at the club. We enjoyed a great turnout, a great course and sunshine all day, though the wind kept the scores at bay. Thanks to all those who helped with the setting up / packing away and to Andy Yates for the organisation of the springer comp and last but not least - Sarah & Sue, for the food.

A superb day with a very good course. Thanks to all the Shepreth crew for setting up and food supplies and especially to Andy and his helpers for organising the Springer Competition. We are for ever in your debt.
Cheers, Phil
Thanks, Pete.
I guess lady luck was on my side today... (Although, you wouldn't have guessed it from peg 16 onward!)
Thanks to all for a really great day... Especially Becky, Simon and George for putting up with me the whole way round.
FINALLY... I got one of those luvverly medals! But... I'm STILL two behind George.
See you all at MAD.
M.A.D. FOR IT!
An absolutely superb course so my thanks too to those who organised it.
It seemed to be equal parts "how hard can that be" and "ooops...."
Having succeeded in plating any full size kills within touching distance I then managed to donut the web.
Again.
Can we not get bonus points if we managed to avoid all that metal and instead go through one of those teeny tiny wire gaps??!?
I thought things were picking up, but then remembered that all my springers are regulated. I haven't found the right bolt or fitting yet, but I know its there somewhere. There's a pre-set to stop you scoring more than 42.
No, tis true....
I lent Bruce (Biggs) Marshall my TX200 to do the comp as he didn't have a springer, (he'd never actually shot a springer). By the halfway mark he had a grin from ear to ear and I could see Andrea looking resigned to the fact he'd be combing the BBS sales for anything with a spring that he could fit in the spare tree stump.
As we neared the end of the course I could see the flat cap being lifted and the head scratched as targets stopped falling.
Yup, I know that feeling.
42.
Answer to the universe.
And the springer wardrobe.
On a different vein, congratulations to Deeksy! Holy cow... 47?!?!? This with the 'Old 77' that's apparently been languishing in the back of a cupboard?! The same '77' I've been badgering him to bring out for months, and he's avoided as he didn't think he could hit anything with it.
Hmmmmm! Either he's been sitting on a latent skill or he's been working on this hustle for months .
I can see I'm going to have to switch to .25....
can you get a .25 Prosport

Despite having an absolute shocker, I really enjoyed it, thanks.
