Myself and my mates use old coins as targets between 30 and 50 metres, the old threepenny bit, sixpence etc. it's competitive but fun.
My shooting partner and I usually start the week with a bit of plinking at cans whilst standing and kneeling.
But it's turned competitive now with cans starting at 30 yards that move away with each sucessful hit.
We're now getting out to 70 yards with 80-90% hit success.
What's your experience of long range standing shots?

Ian
P.S. Flier - watchout, I've got the Scorpion zeroed now!

We've just been using ice cubes
Absolutely brilliant, as you get good visual impact and you don't have to sweep up like chalk or mints. Should keep our farmer happy.

I welded two 16mm washers onto each end of a welding rod at 90deg to each other, feed one of the washers through a wire and put a bit of masking tape over the bottom one, then all you do is put a new bit of tape on when you get through the hole.
