The Steyr definitely has the looks but I take the point that I should try them all before I buy. I have plenty of time as I don't plan to buy until after Christmas.

I would second that Man. Just purchased a second hand Steyr LP2 with two cylinders and it looks like its new. Steve at City Air Weapons was very helpful. I was informed that not many come on the market as people tend to keep them or sell them within their own clubs. I found a big difference in weight between the LP2 and the LP10. I do not think there are many SH LP10's about, but you can always hope. Best of luck.

For HTF I use a Rohm Twinmaster Top (power set at 5ftlb) and scope, 10m I use the Steyr LP2 and for rapid fire Steyr LP50. I also have an Air arms Alfa for 10m and for a cheap gun it does the job.
If TS is looking for budgetpistol, than my vote definately goes to a Tau 7.
Awesome pistols!! Cant say it too much!
But I dont think so, looking at the budget..
Allthough the Tau 7's factory grouping sizes are similar to the Walther LP300: a claimed (a achieved with my Tau 7 Match) of 3mm. (for the silhouet and match).
