    Hi Neil,

You have to upload pics to one of the image hosting sites and post links.

If you would rather?...email them to me (email in profile), I'll host them and post links for all to see.

    Bsa s552

Large Standard in .22, early 2 hole model 1919/1920. Value depends on condition, but this is not a rare model and was made from 1919 to 1935. I sold one a while back for £120.

HI Neil, looks complete, and in fair condition..(excepting a possible problem in the cocking arm pivot screw...photo unclear...Also the chequering looks to be hand done...normally these are heat impressed, would like a close up of this area!..must be one of the earliest post WW1 guns I have seen for a while, value wise I would think £150 would be fair to someone who wanted an earlier serial number....if it still had good blue, and the etching ("writing") was still clear like this.....then the gun would be worth up to £300 plus, maybe more to some folk....some will disagree with this high price, but a dealer recently sold one in the above condition pretty quickly!

Most guns that have survived look either like yours, with very little finish, or are a brown patina, especially on the air cylinder due to handling over the years, normally the underneath protected areas like the barrel and around the cocking lever/trigger guard show what the gun looked liked originally....the ones that are as in a good condition as the one in the photo probably make up less than 1% of the total out there.
