I tried .177 in my T10 scorpion at 50m. A lot of the shots were wedged in the backstop sideways...Some even entered backwards! Terrible. i could actaully see them wabbling their way awkwardly down the range and many of them missed my target sheet altogether.

But they seem to do well in my gamo compact pistol, oddly.

Similarly I've tested the .22 U bolt...I had hoped the lighter weight would carry them down range faster. I use an up-turned picnic table at home for a backstop, i gave up after about 30 shots when they could even hit that!

I have now gone in the opposite direction. Magnum pellets all the way, much more stable at longer ranges with greater energy retension for that satisfying punch at the target.
