I get 160 shots before the power comes off the reg which leaves approx 85Bar left, I've even ran it down to 50Bar and I've never had any problems.
The bleed tool is to be used when the cylinder is off the rifle and not in use.
How many shots are you getting out of your.177's are you getting the 120 that they brag about? And is the owners manual to be adhered to regarding letting the pressure drop below 90 bar (which is apparantly dangerous!) yet there is apiece of kit to bleed the cylinder empty?
Any thoughts please.

I reckon I get about 90 - 100 before I hit the bottom of the green area of the gauge. But your shot count will vary with ambient temperature / pellet type / phase of the moon etc
The bleed tool is for emptying the cylinder - say prior to sending it by airmail or similar. I think the manual is warning against operating out of the green zone because a) your shots will become lest consistent b) they may stray over the 12 ft/lb limit c) low pressure operation of the autoregulating mechanism (note not a seperate regulator in these guns) may cause problems - not sure what, but I guess there may come a point where there is insufficient pressure to hold a valve closed so it may malfunction in that way.
Well that is very interesting gents and thanks for your info but I'm getting more like 50-60 shots from 200 bar down to 90!!! Is anybody else in the same boat? Looks like it's back to the shop once after I've checked it on the chrony......
Is your HW100 regulated Dave??Originally Posted by Davestate
No Andy, but the valving is such that it performs like a reg, i.e. no power curve.

I'll confirm that my 100 is regulated.
I'm getting approximately 100 good shots from a 200 bar fill, although the last few consistent shots do come when the gauge is actually in the yellow zone.
The valving on these are superb, as Davestate said, no power curve! Graphing the chrono readings, it looks like it's reg'd.
Doug...
All generalisations are dangerous, even this one!
Doesn't the valving system extract around 90 bar per shot. If less than 90 bar pressure in the cylinder won't it just dump the air? Just a thought.
I'm getting around 100 shots in my .177's ( I'm actually getting about 10 more shots in the newer sporter version)
