So what do you think of the "6mm or 8mm BB made from anything at all that can be made round and won't melt or jam Category"?

    Kind of catchy isn't it!!!

Perhaps it could just be the Lightballs category?

    Nick
See I told you I'd miss something

Paul, I ain't doing 8mm & never heard of it only 8mm blank firers. As for your name suggestion, I'll just keep it to 6mm Category.

Nick the way most of us are it probably called the 'oddballs' category

Now don't think I'm trying to throw a spanner in the works (as if I'd do that ) but what about........(drum roll)...

The Real Action Marker, .43" cal. and able to fire either paintballs or rubber balls (can I say that?)

Oh, and they are also available in .68 cal. but not sure in the UK.

So which category for these Paddy?

One other thing about airsoft (the less than 1 joule, plastic, 6mm BB type) that no-one else seems to have mentioned is that it is designed for shooting people with
Oh yes, that's what airsoft skirmishing is all about, so I'm told.
You can count me out on the skirmishing front, a cheapo spring powered airsoft comes bl**dy tight on bare legs* (thanks Don ) I shudder to think what a gas blowback would do.

*just to scotch the rumours before they start, I was wearing shorts and it was summer, ok?.

What rumours Jef? although I'm not sure about your reference to tights on bare legs Also what type of shorts are were talking about? The rather gay high leg type beloved of men of a certain age, hmmm, thinking about it you and I are of a "certain age" aren't we? Mind you, you would never find me in in a pair of those, not with my figure. I actually favour the Mankini with built in belly control panel Photo's are available on request & yes, before you ask, I do wax

Anyway, back to the thread, I've got the PERFECT name for this category.

How about an 8mm, airsoft revolver

Its a Colt Anaconda, 6 inch barrel, gas operated and loads via 6 brass cartridges. Gas goes into the grip and is the only plastic part on this heavy weight lovely. Even has the correct Colt markings.

mmmmmm, must be time for a shoot

    Mike.

Hello Jef, my good fellow. I knew you couldn't resist having your say

No need to get yet another category going, as I'm sticking with 6mm.
    & that's it!!

As for the skirmishing, never been to a site. However back in the day over 20yrs ago Me & my mates used to do CQB in my house with our airsoft. Oh those were good times

Just been looking at mine in the living room and they look the best size to me.

    The wife agrees too.

    Ian,
Congrats on your new purchase! Don't forget... keep your balls clean at all times!
