    Crosman HiPAC Powermax Report

The Powermax HiPAC is a srew on and removable HPA unit for a Crosman 2240.
Ideal for those who like to tinker and want to use their Crosman in these cold months.

So after several sessions at the chrono with fill pressures and hammer springs here's the latest string.
    110 bar fill
10" .177 barrel with polished lead and a nice re-crown.
    Crooked Barn breech
    Crosman transfer port
    Brass power adjuster
Re-bolt kit with replacement hex bolts
Trigger job - polished, shims, trigger shoe
    Stock Crosman 22xx valve
    Superdome 8.3g
    1 531 5.19 fpe
    2 523 5.05
    3 509 4.79
    4 517 4.94
    5 512 4.85
    6 525 5.08
    7 525 5.09
    8 532 5.22
    9 533 5.23
    10 531 5.19
    11 525 5.08
    12 509 4.79

    14 546 5.49
    15
    16 532 5.22
    17 537 5.31
    18 541 5.4
    19 533 5.23
    20 528 5.13
    21 534 5.26
    22
    23 533 5.23
    24 523 5.04
    --------------------------------
    25 513 4.84
    26 500 4.61
    27 500 4.61
    28 4.82 4.28
    29
    30 4.59 3.89

That gives 24 shots. I've also fired 35 shots at a 1" bull and it produces 25 shots with very little POI shift. I'll repeat this test and post the results with a pic.

My aim is to get 30 usable and consistent shots at around 5fpe.

Next stage is to use a spare hammer(striker)and get it reduced in length/weight.

Great fun if you want a screw on, removable, non temperature sensitive, HPA unit and have access to a tank and enjoy a little tinkering.

This is a great report from an excellent poster - Robert. If you use the unit at UK pistol power - under 6fpe - then the pinning of the valve doesn't appear to be an issue. However I understand the 2250 unit should be additionally fixed to the tube for 12fpe. Althought the 2250 unit will not be ready until end of Feb.

I think the HiPAC was just over £40 shipped to the UK
Then you just need a few spare springs to try.
A power adjuster makes it easier for removing the hammer spring.
And you need time, pellets, tank and a chrono.
