its no good in summer I've found the dot just isn't bright enough, for what i need anyway.

I've just gone out and bought a hawke rd30 after looking at a few options. The sport version I found too narrow and agree with the reflex hard to see in bright sunlight. Only to get the pistol tomorrow to test it all out. Il write my evaluation on here to let anyone know who might be in the position I was in with what sight to get
    Cheers,

Just had a good few days shooting with the pistol and found the red dot sight to be everything I expected
    Only a couple of problems:
The red dot isn't a perfect 'dot' but that's expected for the amount you pay.
Also when you adjust elevation when zeroing, one click makes quite a difference which is a shame but I can cope with it.
Overall it's money worth spent and now that I know I like red dot sights I can upgrade for a better quality one in the near future.
    Hope this helps..
