Thread: Magazines.

    Magazines.

    Since I bought 3 new extra mags for my Colt 1911 I've not been getting very consistent results. I suddenly twigged today while shooting the 10m UBC that although I was getting reasonable groups, the group centre wasn't consistent between mag changes.

    Could it be the mags? Anyone else have a suggestion (other than that I'm too old and shakey to expect better)?

    I recently discovered that the newer mags are a different design to the older ones.
    The new ones have a ring inside the teeth.
    My Beretta prefers the new ones and wouldnt rotate an older one properly.
    Maybe older guns prefer the older design.
    Or maybe Im wrong!
