    Replacement stock For Ruger 10/22

    Hi All.
I hope this is in the correct forum.
I am hoping to get a Ruger 10/22 and have been looking at a variety of replacement stocks for it.
The one I like the most is a Tapco Intrafuse T6 tactical lookalike-

    http://rrages.com/1022/stock/tapco/index.htm

There are loads on American suppliers sites, but does anyone know who could sell one in the UK?

    Thanks.Doug

I went for a thumbhole stock as a replacement rather than one that made the gun look like an assault weapon. Can't really understand the whole .. "I'd rather have an Armalite" thing. Maybe I'm just being dull.

I do agree that some of these rifles do look a bit over the top, but they say that variety is the spice of life.
A thumbhole stock might do the job, but I do like pistol grips better.

It's true, variety is the spice of life. To each their own .. would be boring if we were all the same

I use my 10/22 for bunnies as well as targets and don't fancy wandering round fields looking like the South Dorset splinter cell of the Peoples Front of Judea - it does give some non-shooting folk the wrong idea about things when they spot a bloke in camo wandering through the countryside carrying what looks like an assault rifle. I do appreciate a lot of guys like the more military looking stuff and at the end of the day it's your gun.

    Have you tried Midway?

they can be a bit expensive though ...

I have been e mailing some of the American companies which stock these things, and none of them want to ship to Europe.

As an alternative to the 'paramilitary' look how about one of the offerings from Boyds:

    http://www.boydsgunstocks.com/Replac...7-MKII-s/6.htm

They will ship internationally and are competitively priced, even allowing for having to pay some import tax at this end.

I have an Evolution on my 10-22 and a very handy and comfortable stock it is too.

I got my Tapco T6 from South Yorkshire Shooting Supplies

Give them a bell, if they do not do it for the 10/22 then no one does!!

Thank you both for the last two links.

I actually got an E back from SYSS saying that they still stock it, so I will be ordering one when I am legal.
