If you open up the exit hole you will probably make the silencer just a little bit louder, but not much.

Ray.
I've had a slight problem recently with pellets just clipping the end of my Logun silencer,,leaving a small lead skid mark in the end section. I can avoid this by rotating the silencer a little but would prefer to have the allen key at the underside because it looks neater like that. The point is,,can I drill out the end ,screw-in section by 2mil so as to avoid the pellets clipping,,or is this hole a critical size?

I should try to find the underlying reason why your barrel / silencer adaptor / silencer is out of line before taking drastic measures.

Found this to be a problem mostly with .22 as most silencers are not calibre specific, though you dont say what calibre yours is for .22 i've found you need about 7.5-8.0mm in the end cap.
