    Side shoots

I think one of the best ways to introduce long range shooting at a competion is to have a small side shoot. I remember Milride having one once at an FT shoot there. I think there were 4 targets between 60 and 100yds, you had 2 shots at each to see how many you knocked down. Good fun IMO. All targets were I think standard 40mm killzones.

Trying to make a morning worth of it. So a good couple of hours worth of shooting needed.

I think maybe just like hft but up to 100 yards or so

    Prospect is exciting

An FT course set out with targets up to 100yds may appeal to some. Complications arise when you try and shoot 40mm killzones over 60yds outdoors. Any slight wind will render most targets over 60yds un-hittable, the only way I see around this is to increase the killzones to say 60mm between distances of 80 and 100yds, and maybe 50mm between 60 and 80yds. I did some long range target shooting a few years ago, and on a fairly windless day could comfortably group 5 shots in a 60mm killzone at 100yds. My best group over a 4 hour period was 32mm CTC. I would like to try it, if you could find someone to make the appropriate targets. Neil.

doing a bit of long range stuff myself at 100m and you are about
right there sniper wolf as the average im hitting is around 60mm
grouping so would work well with a target at over 60m.
that with a pro sport so well within a pcps capability.
has to be like has been said a very still day or it just
    gets frustrating.
dont worry about it taking up time because once they
started they will not want to stop its addictive i tell ya.

Never pull the trigger unless you know
you are going to hit what you are aiming at.

    How about -

How about useing some Firebird targets at 100 yds, a entry fee to cover cost of targets, great fun, loud bang, puff of smoke, fairly expensive but at that distance outdoors bound to miss as many as you hit !
