    Ultrasonic cleaners and blueing

    Just been offered a large James 8050 ultrasonic cleaner which I'm thinking about getting to do the cylinders on my BP revolvers but I remember reading somewhere that they can ruin the bluing. Anyone have any info on this or experience with these cleaners ?

    It's not the ultrasonic that will damage the bluing it's the chemicals you use , Just use hot mildly soapy water in it and it will not touch the bluing ,Anything with any type of acid in it avoid.
