I'm so sorry to read this even though I never met Rod, I thought his later posts were a lesson to us all in how to face adversity.
My thoughts are for his nearest and dearest and all who knew him.
Rod's stoic way of dealing with his condition was inspirational.
RIP Rod, and condolences to your family.

The one time I met Rod it was before he got ill. Not many people dealt the hand Rod held even then, could have coped well at all. Not only did he manage that, but he kept a smile on his face and remained good natured.
Seems to me, in responding to news of a terminal illness, he broadened his smile and soldiered on.
He truly IS an inspiration. I'm sure he will be missed by very many people. God bless him.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
