I'd be interested to know the answer to this too as i have just picked up a mint 1982 hw80, pretty much as you describe yours as.
Hi all,i have here a HW80 MK1 .22 full length barrel in excellent condition and still has its open sights,in fact i dont think its shot 2 tins of pellets in its life!.Ive just checked out the serial number and it was made in 1983 and is totally original, the stock has never been drilled for a swivel either!.
What is an approx value of one of these at the present time ???.
A few pics here.......

hi as i have in past been on the lookout for older hws and have seen a couple of these come up from time to time so have a rough idea of what they have been on sale for and a good one would be about £200 mark a minter anywhere up to about £300 , but this is only my opinion and these are the sort of prices i have seen which have been advertised , was one at £300 but not sure if it sold as was on sale for ages , but would still give this price as at the time when i was on the lookout for a mk1 80 i would have payed around that price but i were,nt gonna travel the distance to get it , all depends how much someone wants one ,
and just to make it clear i have enough weihrauch,s now . sure somebody will be able to give more accurate price atb ,
hi,
i think 200 to 300 is a bit steep at the moment, maybe in easier times it would be, but i would suggest £175 to £200 at the present time,,
as always though condition is everything

I turned down a average to good condition one recently that was £100.
If mint then £175 to £200 sounds on the money to me. The MK1 80 and HW35E are similiar in value in my book.
One final thing if its been in its box since the 1980's and hardly used stick it over a Chrono.
yes at mo money is tight and has said £300 i have see them advertised as mint boxed etc, and really depends on how quick you want to sell and how bad someone wants one , at the time i seen one for £300 if he would have dropped to £250 i would have drove the 100 miles to get it , have notice the tx,and hw,s in well used condition at £150 so again gotta be over the £200 atb guy
Hi,thanks for all comments and opinions,i now have a general idea what it would go for if i decide to sell .
Just put a link on the original thread with some pics.....

I would think £200 max. Sportsman are doing the carbine which are usually more popular for £280 brand new. Its still a used rifle & probably could do with a relube after all this time which will have to be budgeted for If you can't do it yourself.

Thanks for the comments,i was wondering about the front sight but i know now.The bluing on this rifle is still excellent and does not need a re-blue ,thats why i think its in excellent nick considering it was made in 1983 .
