Diana Mod 34 - Identification Help Please

I have just managed to find a very nice Diana Mod 34.

    Something different about it though.

At first I thought that it could be a 'Firebird' or one of the 'Centennial' Special Editions but now I'm not sure.

It has a gold coloured 'medallion' set in to the bottom of the stock grip .

Have not collected it yet so can not tell exactly what it has embossed on the 'medallion'.

    Anybody got any ideas.

    It is a German Diana.

    Thanks

    C

    Diana Model 34

It will be the "Firebird" Model 34. The one I've got has Diana 34 on the breech with the "Diana" figure. The gold-coloured medallion has "Firebird" and "Diana" above and below the Phoenix figure respectively. These guns will be a nightmare to sort out by future collectors. My rifle's box end is marked"34S" and the rifle looks nothing like the illustration on the rear of the box. The box front has a picture of a short-barrelled sidelever rifle!

Theres a Diana 34 being advertized on gunstar, looks more like a model 38 to me, i always thought the 34 had a much simpler stock ?
