post pics on here when finished sam......will look the biz
Right, can't remember who it was that asked to see this, but I recall somebody asking to see the internal workings of a Park rifle recently, and i've just started to make headway into restoring one.
I've stripped and reblued it this afternoon, so here you go...

Can't for the life of me think who it was that asked, but i hope you see this, whoever you are... (Drafty?)

Lioner,
I'll have to leave that to the owner, mate.
When i'm finished with the action, the stock is off to hydrographics to be dipped in Turkish Walnut finish, I believe.
You're right though, she is going to be a beauty!
Now I know who nicked the chain off my bike!

'ere, what the bleeders are we doing taking the p*ss on here for anyway, I prefer to abuse you on MSN if its all the same?!
You did ask me on MSN if I'd ever been inside one. My reply was no, they may be heavy but they're far too compact; I only do size 18+Originally Posted by Sam
Whilst writing, Sam, me old mucker, I cannot help but remark on the fastidiously neat way in which you have laid out the component parts of Dan's Park. I wonder if you display similar tendencies, in carefully folding socks, y-fronts, brown corduroy trousers, twill shirt and tweed jacket, before donning the stripey silk jim-jams and sliding seductively between the covers - only to find that the lady has by this point fallen asleep or wandered off....
Just wondering, like - all in the interests of my ongoing pastoral concern as to your love-life (besides I am an old perv and I like to hear the juicy details )

Drafty,
You filthy old dog!
'Laying' things neatly is done for a reason, mate. So that later on i'm not going to forget which bit goes in which hole!
As the the state of my smalls, Madam usually prefers to remove them with haste (or with teeth!) and throw them on the deck prior to 'sliding seductively between the covers ', and of course, that would be minus any semblance of 'stripey silk jim-jams ' and should you ever speak to her, she'll not deny being the one keeping ME awake all night, never mind finding her asleep (chance would be a fine thing)!
Hope that satisfy your twisted curoicity?!
Anyway... about that Park then!
My god. You're a bunch of perverts!
Nice bit of walnut there Dan. Wish my thumbhole was as nicely figured .
Dan,
Is that .177?... If so, judging by the trigger guard, I think she was mine not so long ago. It originally belonged to a gunsmith who made the trigger guard. I have the original at my Parents house, which I could get for you.
I oonly ever shot her in the house.... garden too small and the guy who had it before me shot it indoors at 10 m. I might even have his contact details, as I'm sure he would be able to tell you more....
Alex
Alex - it's the very same!
I contacted Nick after your tipoff over on AGF, and soon after the little beauty was mine - love it
That trigger guard is a little 'overkill' on the brass front, so I'll probably get it shaped down to size a little at some point
Would be interested in any history on it etc too - much appreciated.
Cheers,
Dan
