    Just modified my crosman 2240!

Hi ive just started to modify my crosman 2240 c02 pistol ive replaced the breech with a blued steel GMAC version with hexagonal blued cocking bolt and an extended hollow probe, then i changed the hammer spring for a stronger one with a brass guide and then i put a GMAC brass power adjuster on and a brass safety button, i also shortened the barrel by 30mm for a more compact look then just to finish it off i made a right handed pair of english walnut grips, i plan to change the whole of the trigger unit next for the GMAC version, i fired a few shots over the chrono and its averaging 5.4ftlbs with RWS Superdomes so very happy,

    Great job.
    You made the grips
I dont know why Crosman dont put a bit more bling on one of these as a more expensive option.

That's a beautiful pistol mate. I have a custom 2240 which is now converted to a rifle. Has a few Gmac mods to it.

Nice Job - There's something very satisfying about owing and modding your own custom 2240.
It's so easy to work on and not a lot of money to do it a bit at a time or even better to make your own parts.
Theres a lot a very nice guns out there to inspire you and the base gun is peanuts really.
Perhaps we should start a gallery thread....

    crosman 2240

Cheers lads, i really like this pistol now and i just want to keep putting more bits on it ive just ordered an adjustable trigger setup as the trigger is quite hard to squeeze now its got a stronger hammer spring fitted and a brass filler cap to match the brass power adjuster its never ending i keep looking at the custom parts available and i want more

Those grips are very nice indeed - I'd go as far as saying they're some of the nicest I've ever seen. You should make some more and sell them to us
Still here after all these years

Looks good mate. How much did it cost for all the mods? Are they legal?!
Rapid Mk2 FAC .22 @ 31ft/lbs. Standard HW100KT .177. Webley Victor .22 (looking for a cheap silencer to fit). A couple of air pistols for fun.

Be very careful once a pistol always a pistol, in other words don't use the 2240 tube to make make a carbine the serial number on it will refer to a pistol. So if over 6ftlbs its a section 5 gun and you will be picking up the soap for 5 yrs,

Be very careful just noticed you did the chrono string with 14.3grain superdomes.Get yourself a tin of biz mags for power testing, with co2 it really makes a big difference up to 1fpe with pistols and over 3 in the summer with rifles. unless of course you like picking up the soap!!!
