Help me to decide or just confuse me more !!!!

Hello all, having just got my first rifle - an SMK th78 D, i have been

bitten badly by the air gun bug so this weekend im off to buy a pistol too!!

MY dilema being which one to go for :

    either
The Crosman T4 Opts C02 pistol
    http://www.wonderlandmodels.com/prod...ts-air-pistol/

    or the
    Gamo P-25 tactical
    http://www.wonderlandmodels.com/p......al-air-pistol/

Has anyone got any experience with either of these guns? if so could they pass that experience on to me !!

I have heard thats the gamo silencer adds 7" to the guns length and helps
a lot in accuracy ( is this true?), so that could be a factor.

I will be primarily shooting in the garden, but i have joined a club and will at some stage do some of the club competitions when and if they start them up !
If anyone has any other suggestions for good pistols to get please
post some links and/or reasons below!!!!

    Thanks in advance

    Dave

Do not buy plastic Crosman auto pistol style multi shot pellet firing guns, they are worth what they sell for where they are made but we pay around double what they sell for in the states, they are not engineered for a long life, are not designed to be worked on, also spares are almost non-existant,

A better buy might be the Beretta-M92-FS-XX-treme if you like the tacticool stuff. ?

Recently aqquired a Tacticool (quote delta 1) Beretta 92FS XX Extreme,

Shoots pellets from an 8 round mag very nicely, Flat nosed pellets cheap and fun, shoots good quality domes even better,

As for the silencer/moderator it is merely a splitter which siphons off any Co2 that may deflect the pellet from it's true path,

Spoke to Nick aka magic Niner re: this and he suggested that I blocked the holes in the silencer with tape and listen to the results,

    Phut! rather than Blat!

Nick he say that as the Yanks are not allowed silencers in any way shape or form they must make do with the lookalike splitter,

After Phut! I robbed my small Deben Whisper silencer of it's rubber shroud and with the aid of some washy liquid enrobed my Berreta splitter with it,

And blasted off 8 shots... er! quietely phutted 8 shots off, Cheers Nick

Well, that's actually an interesting issue here in the US.

Silencers for firearms are very strictly regulated here - like machine guns! - under federal law.

However, since air guns are not classified as firearms, under federal law, it wouldn't / shouldn't be illegal to have a silencer fitted to an airgun: provided the silencer was built integral with the airgun: such that the silencer couldn't be removed without destroying it.

However, if the silencer fitted to the airgun, or intended to be, could be used on a cartridge firearm: then yes, you have a very illegal item.
