Thanks for taking the time to post the scores Mike My 50 doesn't seem too bad now looking at the scores
Hi All
Wow …. What a little breeze can do for your score, eh !?!?! I am sure I overheard Richard say something about setting the course yesterday in near calm conditions, suggesting that they might have been a tad less enthusiastic about putting out so many long range reducers had they known the actual strength and direction of today’s wind.
Net result was a high score to match that achieved at Mile Oak for SIHFT Round One.
Here are the full results – in the usual format – and with the usual request to PM me if you believe you spot any errors or omissions :

For those of you heading north at the end of this week …… see you at The Worlds; for which I suspect today’s session in the Yapton breeze may well have been well timed.

Hurts to say but well shot Joakie's , 29 lead !
Still think Buxted will make a come back .
Thanks for posting the scores Mike
Ain't that the truth! We knew it was going to be tough and that was what we were aiming for, but I think the gusting nature of the wind made it more challenging than we planned!
In fact we ended up with only 4 of the allowed 6 15mm and 1 of the supported standers was a 40mm as opposed to the allowed 25. We also still have several 40mm full size kills where 35mm is becoming the norm.
It just goes to show how tough the new format courses can be, it is going to take a while to learn how to tailor courses to be harder or more gentle, I was still getting used to the old format which could still surprise you!
Anyway, we had a Fordie in first equal place, we came second and it is great to see Ford back on the map. I enjoyed the challenge and I hope everyone else did!

You come into this world with nothing, go out in debt and you've made a profit
Thanks Fordies, great shoot, well done Rob.
Nice to see another club joining in with a bit
of Buxted bashing, always good fun
Bob
Thanks for the shoot ,bit of eye opener with the wind. More practise needed I think.Cheers john and bruce for the company. Only gripe was the burger van, was waiting a good twenty minutes and know of at least two guys who went sod this and didnt bother .Shooting was excellent though cheers ford .
Thanks Fordies great course great wind always good to see the strings blowing so hard that the brick ties blow away. Outstanding.
Was a target that was a Hieraaetus morphnoides peg 28 I will take that on the chin. If your pellet went low then you probably know the rules so have a slap on the back and a glass of red.
Score cards today were oustanding chaps and chappeses keep it up and you will ruin my day love a point docking or two.
Well shot you Oakie twats got to give credit where credit is due.
Rob Charle and Chris oustanding today.
Spongetwat it was a pleasure as always.
Peeps just one thing though if you are setting a course use a tape or at least calibrate the rangefinder on a tape and remember it is from the peg.
If you are going the Worlds see you there and if not see you all at Horsham in a couple of weeks.
