Bushnell
Niko
Simmons
Swat
Hawke
BSA
just interested.
If you had to put these scope makes in to order of the most clearest/precise optics being top of the list, how would you rate them.
A. Hawke
b. Simmons
c. Bushnell
d. AGS
e. Nikko
f. BSA
let's just say your rating them all on a standard no frills mid power model from each manufacturer i.e 4-16 x 50.
These are all in my price range, and im looking to get the best optics possible to top my new multishop PCP when i purchase it
thanks.

never looked down a swat or a bsa, but agreed with the others...
To be honest, my eyes say that the bushnells are the best, including the burris, leup and NF that i've looked down. Granted only 1 NF and only a couple of leup's....but for picture/colour/clarity. I rate the bushnells.
1.Bushnell
=2.Simmons / AGS
4.Nikko
=5.BSA / Hawke
Big gap between both 1 and 2 and 2 and 4. Smaller gap twix 4 and 5
We must get the same batches of scopes in Yorkyland. I agree 100% with Darren. (now there's a thing).

Theres Meopta as well definately a 1
From your list I would get a Bushnell too
Word has it the Simmons 44mag models are good. Word from the funsupply USA forum, if you want to do some precise target work get the 6.5-20x44mm model. They seeeeeeeem to vote it over some bushnell models. Mildot ret, comes in IR as well, import from the states or buy a non IR version from Ziplobb, he currently has 1 left as i just ordered his 1/2.
A search for Simmons 44 mag "google set to .com" should yield the fun supply results. They seem to know what they're talking about, as well as Gary Cooper recommending them, good enough for me.
p.s £131 all in from "Ziplobb" on here.
The 44MAG is a good scope - I have one, but it's fussy in terms of eye relief.
I would still get a Bushnell - the 5-15X40 Legend is fantastic or, if you can afford it, try one of the Elite 3200 or 4200 series
thanks for the replys chaps,
I was hoping the bushnell would get mentioned as being a good'un, that means my eyes are working correctly. I looked through a 3-9x40 the other day in low light conditions and it was such a sharp image right out to the outer edge of the recticle.
I really like the sound of the new nikko night eater range, as i was looking into the idear of a sidewheel scope thinking this could make the (dialing in the range bit) on parallax scopes a bit easyer when in particular positions around the shoot.
anyone had any experience with these scopes yet ?
thanks again.
