    Having built a Crosman Ratty in .25, I really wouldn't bother with a sub 6fpe in .25
Good deals with: ali d (twice), mattinlondon, mikemorton, jonboy, the wizard, Moza, markH, fok, gunslinger, Fisherman1, bigwull, mikewareing, TwoTitans, hairydog, airguns, dcl dave, Stuart B, mattie, Locksley, MARK, albrown, kjud, spud, gedfinn2, wasteoid, bullcelt, bunnysniper, wasteoid, pokeandhope, honda+more

    Hi,

Have you done the calculations? http://www.airguns.net/trajectory.php

At around 5ftlbs an 18.3 gr Pylarm would be doing 350 fps, at 15 Yds it would have dropped 3.5" & still be doing 318fps for 4.13 ftlb's.
That seems worthwhile to me, though what for exactly I've no idea.

I think you will have to go the custom route though.
If you do something with this, let us know how you get on?

    Regards

Then what are you 'wasting' your time in the pistol section of the forum for then?

The only one I know of is the Harper 11 shot PCP, A nice pistol IMO.
Not made any more but do occasionally pop up second hand

thanks for the tips guys...been using .25 cal more recently and just fancied .25 pistol - thats all!
pistols are not a waste of time!!! i find them more challenging to use than rifles - which is all part of the fun i guess!!!

    .25 Pistol

A .25 air pistol would be fantastic !

What great fun it would be lobbing that great lump of lead. Just holding a .25 pellet is kinda nice !

I was going to do a 2540 Crosman, bought the HiPAC and barrel, but abandoned the project and went on to something else.

.25 rifle Falcons were manufactured. I wish I'd bought a Multi .25 FN8 that was for sale a few years ago.

You would need to buy a barrel blank, get it cut to size, recrown, leade polished, probably need a .25 probe making.

I'd like a DAQ 2540 but our 6fpe limit would prevent this!

Good luck and keep us posted.

Some years ago, I put a .25 barrel in my Webley Nemesis which proved most enjoyable, especially when engaging US-style metallic silhouettes. I still have a .30 PDS-modified Brocock revolver, although that was a waste of space.
