Webley Nemesis. No springs, no CO2. The perfect back garden plinker !!
I'm looking for some advice on a backyard plinking pistol. I have been tempted by the 1377, HW45/75 and the Gamo Compact, but after some serious thought, I want something that is fun and and can be used in a rapid fire way, I think I have to opt for co2. I also think I'll probably be better off staying away from a gun that fires BBs, my yard is all concrete and I really don't want ricochets, if for some reason there is an errant shot.
At the moment I'm looking at the S&W 586, the Colt Government 1911 A1, and the Gamo PT-85. Are there other pistols I should be looking at? Pistols with a silencer/moderator available would be a plus.

AA S200, AA S400, HW97K, RatCatcher, Umarex 1911, Webley Hurricane, Webley Nemesis, Umarex Glock 17
The CP88 does look nice, though I think I prefer the looks of the one with the 6" barrel, the Competition? Currently I'm leaning more toward the Umarex/Colt 1911, I think it's time to head to my nearest shop to see what they have.

I went with the Walther CP88, it's a nice handful, accurate, and I managed 12 mags out of one co2 bulb, would probably have got more if I'd thought to count to 8 more often

[QUOTE=Greenwing;5536381]I was going to suggest a Drulov DU-10.
It's only a 5 shot but will be more accurate and fire way faster than the Umarex models.
It'll also have better grips and trigger.[/QU
They are not as readily available as the umarex pistols and more expensive,parts can be difficult to source plus they need constant fettling to keep on song,and they're pretty loud on full whack with no chance of fitting a silencer.Having said that I have actually had two of them
my brother is looking to sell his umarex government 1911 fitted with a silencer adaptor and with a 11mm rail on top (aswell as the standard adjustable rear sight) it's literally a few months old it's just he is a crosman modder too and they take most of his time/money
and if your after a crosman 1077 multishot 12 shot rifle which is ideal for plinking I've got one in the fiorsale section and it is two days old
pm me if interested in either

@Greenwing
Thanks for suggesting the Drulov it's not a gun I'd heard of, I do like the look of it, but it wasn't really what I was after this time. They are also a little above what I wanted to spend. Compared to my 2240 the CP88 is quiet, and it's as much fun to shoot, just in a different way. The 2240 is good for smashing extra strong mints at 6 yards, the CP88 is good for shredding a coke can, horses for courses.
@peterdaniels,
I looked hard at the Beretta M 92 FS and the Colt 1911 government A1, both were very nice, but in my hand, I much preferred the Walther CP88, so, sorry, but your brother's 1911 wouldn't have done it for me. My next rifle will be a Ratcatcher to mod, but that's a while off yet so I'll pass on the 1077, thanks though.
