I'm sure I read lawrie amatruda works on theses might be worth a pm as he is a great guy.
I need to replace the seal in a 6G, usual reason, seeing bits of the old one exit the barrel!
Just been reading a guide and it looks double, but I would have to make a spring compressor.
Is this actually a simple task?
If not, does anybody know of a member familiar with this model, who can do a seal swap, and comes recommended?
Kind regards,
Phil

Do NOT attempt to work on this yourself unless you are skilled in this area.
Pete.
Have contacted Lawrie and got an excellent response.
Will be sending it off shortly.
Kind regards,
Phil

What an absolutely lovely bloke Lawrie is. He gave me a quick phone call and we had a really good chat.
I posted the gun on a Friday and it was back on a Tuesday.

C'mon, it's actually really easy to do a re-seal. The end cap can be screwed in or out till the pinion wheels simply drop in or out. It's harder to push the replacement seals on to the end of the pistons! These guns are not as dead to fire as Walthers or FWB's of their era and the triggers are not as good either.
