I hadn't looked at the BBS for years (used to post as pandaboy).
I was shocked and saddened to see the news about John.
Spent many Saturday mornings with John and Pete at the quarry shooting tin chickens at silly ranges.
It is a pleasure to have known him, even for such a relatively short time.
My thoughts are with his family and friends.
Simon.
You used to shoot with me, at the quarry as well ! never to be again i am afraid, very sad time indeed,
best wishes Nigel.
I thought it must be you Nigel, but didn't want to jump to conclusions.
Definitely sad news, I and also a bit spooky that I suddenly thought about it last week of all weeks. Hope everything else is well with you.
(BTW Jim has sorted my original account out for me hence the post from this one.)
Simon
I hope I didn't brain my damage
Just arrived back from Johns funeral. A simple but lovely graveside service , many people turned up to say goodbye and pay tribute to a wonderful human being. Pete mentioned the possibility of a shoot in respect of John so Simon keep in touch, i know you are in Plymouth but if you are up this way at any time maybe we could co-ordinate something.
John now you are no longer in pain and your star shines brightly in the night sky . rest in peace my friend you were and allways will be loved by many. God Bless You.
