We know Malta quite well, where abouts are you going, the arches are being knocked down @ the entrance to Valleta & the old yellow buses have gone in time for next year as it is the city of culture.
p.s. gun shops are rare as hens teeth. If you get chance try to see the big muzzle loader @ Fort Reyner, ram rod is 36ft.long,they do now fire it once a year.
Sorry Edwin, off to Turkey//ICEMELER staying @ the Fantasia Hotel give it a Google it`s a really good hotel-- but then we have never stayed in a bad one anywhere .

Ever the optimist Steve, ever the optimist.
When we were in Malta we stayed at Sliema across the water from Valletta, a 7 day bus ticket was 12 euros for unlimited travel. Not a big fan of bus travel but given the parking difficulties in the busy areas it proved really useful. Can also recommend a trip to Gozo (top of the island and catch the ferry) and definetely this http://www.casaroccapiccola.com/ which is really interesting. Walk straight down the main street in Valletta past the square and it is on your right just down the slope.
Found this interesting too http://www.heritagemalta.org/museums...itimecoll.html

The big man had 71 ex 80 today as did Brian, reporting tricky wind conditions on the course @ back of the cabin.
Steve hope you enjoyed your stay in Malta, think we are going next year as Valetta is the city of culture----Yes we Cheshire folk can do culture.

Hi Pete,
Good weather today at the top corner of Staffordshire, the breeze was intermittent and not too bad at all. I shot today for the first time since early May, pcp though not the HW springer.
Spread the word folks the next QA is Sunday 28/10/12, lets hope the weather plays along.
G`Day Folks from a very, very hot Turkey, last 2 days have hit 40` which is a little on the warm side to say the least, still no doubt weather @ Q in 2 weeks time will bring it down a little to say the very least.
This lazy holiday life style ain`t all it`s cracked up to bebut then somebody has to come here to help the Turkish economy
See you all in 2 weeks time, got my Anschutz back so will try to set up for that shoot.
Pete
a couple of clears at quarnford on sun, nil wind at 11pm on your fav course as well
Hi Pete,
Don`t mind the one behind the cabin,it`s the other one starting @ the back of the house, get back ache early doors on that one (as well as pain in the neck from Karl lol) then it lasts all round the course.
What score did you post on Sunday.
