    barrel clean

    Just quick one how often do you guys clean your barrels and what do you use

    I cleaned mine in , let me think , yes 1978 it was I can remember it like yesterday .
    Seriously I would never clean a barrel on a air rifle unless accuracy was becoming a problem , if its shooting straight leave it be is my advice.

    Whipping twine, napier rifle clean, 009
    Some barrels get very leaded up, most often choked ones
    The biggest prob is rifles with the storage oil from new never cleaned out

    Shoot a cleaning felt through it at the end of a tin of pellets.

    would you advise a pellet behind a cleaning pellet, i was thinking a cleaning pellet on its own through a springer would be like dry firing it, seems a little light to be firing on its own.

    always use a pellet behind the felt in springers.preferably a wadcutter type.
