    HW 85 valuation

    Been offered a new unshot boxed HW85 I think it's a k model,any idea's of a fair price anyone?

    The price will depend very much on whether it is a MK1 or MK2.The MK1 is no longer in production,but much better made than the currently available MK2.The mk1 came with nicer stocks too.

    Old MK1s struggle to get sold at £180 - £190 on here, pretty much same as a later one is worth which is now exactly same as 95 but with 85 stamped on it !

    You can still pick up a new 85/95 for around £260 at SGC non mod version, so a mint 85/95 is worth 2/3rds as usual , ie 2/3rds of price of cheapest place to get a new one - (so about 175)

    That's why old 85s struggle to get sold as above, cause people ask just that bit too much for them ....
    It's good they have a screw rear block etc, but many are abused, and you get more probs on them than current 85 / 95 in general -
