    As Nick has said, most SSP's have this function, especially if designed as a paper puncher. In 10m competition, you are not permitted to expel air or make a discharge sound over a minimal level when at the firing point and dry firing.

    It isn't you know, SSP have a valve that once released stays open and dumps all the gas, there isn't a hammer-against-sprung-valve as in CO2 guns, the technology is very different, unless you have a Schimmel, of course

    Hi, I think it depends on the SSP. If this were true then the hammer velocity adjustment on the Feinwerkbau 100 series would have no effect. It does work in exactly the same way as the Co2 and PCP versions. You can even hear the air dump when recocking the pistol if the power is adjusted to the lowest setting.
