    Restoring Diana old model 50

    Hi there airgun friends!

Did some restoring work on this beautifal Diana 50. I like the old model the most, the newer ones with the anti bear trap safety are not my kind of taste.

Anyway! Better show you the foto's! To bad the owner of the airgun holds the stock. Otherwise I could have you showed the end result. My job was clean up an re-blue (hot) the metal and replace the seal and spring. I have to say. This is on of the first time's I am happy with the result. Most of my restorings were nice and worth the work. But not good enough for me, the perfectionist.

The bluing is not that great on the foto's, but in real life is is really brand new. If you see spots on the metal, it is dust / oil.

This lady goes back to her owner tomorrow, and I hope he will be satisfied with the endresult.

Oh yes, the pictures. Here you go

I hope the owner will make an foto of the total Diana I a few weeks

    Regards,
    Teun

    Hi Daniel,

    Thanks!

Well, we used the hot blue black oxide process most gun fabricants use. I have visited the Diana factory this year and they use the same hot blue process I do.

    Great visit btw...

    Teun

Hiya mate " Superb Job "

Are they the original sights ? The reason I ask is, I bought a pair front & rear a couple of years ago for a Diana Mod 5 , They didn,t fit ! Too long rear sight ? They are Identical .
I thought they were the same as the Original 35B ? ( Which i also have ) I am sure someone will know ,
    Cheers Ged.

    Hey,

Yeah well, there were some different sights. The first ones are metal. Later on half round plastic en flat plastic sights. The same as some other rifles and pistols as well.
