Haenel Air Rifle model details required

    Hello
Can anybody tell me what model of Haenel this is, the age if possible and what value does it currently have.
Its very short and light so I guess it was made as a boy's gun. I was plinking with it yesterday to try it out, wish my s410 was as light as this.

The first image are the numbers on it, these are the only numbers on the rifle.

    Hi,
according to Hiller, Collector's Guide to Air Rifles, 4th edition, p.141
Haenel - The Model XXX (30) was the model 20 but fitted with an extended stock up to the barrel joint. It was available in .177 rifled or smoothbore and weighed 3lb 2ozs. That one was made in 1936 from the date stamp. The E stands for export.
The Model 20 was similar to the Diana pre-war Model 20 but is not identical.

    Value?

Many thanks dogsbody, great details, most informative. The one I've got has the rifled barrel.
I really could do with a copy of that book.

Now, can anybody give me an idea of its value?

    Haenel value

Going by prices I have seen asked at Bisley arms fairs between £120 and £150 for this rifle.

    Regards, Baz

    Thanks Baz.

Yes I saw Henry Krank and a few others selling the book but I was hoping to get a cheap second hand copy of the 4th edition, but it looks like I could be waiting a while before one surfaces.

I've got a couple of other rifles I want details on so I'll keep posting on 'collectables' just now.
There's a lot of knowledgeable people on this forum who know the subject well.
