    Post Reloading Data References

There seem to have been a few requests for reloading data recently and I thought it might be an idea to have some good reference links to manufacturers reloading data. Powder manufacturers seem to make their reload data freely available, while bullet manufacturers seem to want to make you pay for it.

Anyway hope these are useful to people:

    Vihtavouri Reloading Database Tool

Almost a one stop shot for links or download of reloading data
    http://www.lhs-germany.de/en/powder/...data-download/

This one is perhaps not as reliable as the others but its a data base of supposedly loads in use by people. Might be useful to find those more esoteric loads but I'd use with caution

    Addendum
for those who would like a single reference for the calibre they shoot, there are a number of one calibre reloading manuals. You can get them from here
    http://gunbooks.uk.com/categories/RE...?sort=priceasc
Norman Clarke gunsmith also sells them.

Lovex Reloading Guide - Added 2/7/13
Since the NRA armoury is selling Lovex powders now, here is a downloadable PDF of their reloading data

    Reload Swiss

    Hope folks find this useful

Dangers of light loads of slow powders.

Dangers of using light loads of slow burning powders in rifle cases. Not a good idea.

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this. If it's not my apologies, Kindly move or delete as you see fit.

Complete myth. There are all sorts of arm waving explanations for firearm failure with light loads (the most common being that the powder has "detonated") and it has been researched where possible. In all cases capable of investigation the issue found is that a light load might not actually get the bullet out of the barrel so when you fire the next one behind it......and folk who do not pay sufficient intention to where the previous bullet went are understandably reluctant to blame themselves.

This particular piece of arm waving is perhaps the most obviously flawed. "The powder forms a plug at the base of the bullet and causes an obstruction". Somehow more powder in the case will not cause this? not even a compressed load? - sheesh.

I started a thread about light loads looking for advice, and was warned about this by some members, It's not something I'd been aware of but they seem to be convinced.
