I bought mine from a lad on here who's father had passed away, he offered a number of tasty guns for sale, for some reason the 77 was hanging around unwanted I secured it for the asking price of £150 complete with scope, sling, period Vinyl slip and a full tin of nice old Eley wasps (not the modern rammel!!)..

The rifle is in great shape, my cr4ppy pics don't do it justice (rubbish with a camera!!), it'll not leave my ownership 'til they're nailing the lid on my box

    Cheers, John
Aye, the gold plated #1000000 was made in August 1983. I expect Herman has that one!

It would be interesting to know when the HW77 production started... pre or post 1000000...

What a bargain you had with that one though, John!

John, nope, the coating is blue, I think it's the same age as the gun..

At least I seem to recall that it's blue coating, I haven't had it out in ages

Yep, it's a lovely gun, the chap also had an Airsporter S, a FWB 127 sport and a couple more, his father was in to his airguns..

77's now sporting a Jap 4x40 gloss black Tasco which looks OK.
Will test accuracy this week but it looks promising. Could do with a little more mag.

    Hi John

Yes, I left it on top of the GS, it seemed like they should have stayed together..

    I miss the old girl/combo

It was a good match. I happen to know the history of that "pair", they were bought new together and were owned by a Guy in Leeds. He had them ten years or so before he sold them to yours truely !
    You know the rest !

Bet you wish you still had them !

As above, Apparently #1000000 was made in August '83, so your early 77 (2116 guns later), was surely made shortly after that date
