    We are now well into the last week in the month, so please shoot your six cards for June and email the results to us by next week so we can get all of the scores in.

    Anyone that wished they had entered this 6 yard competition can still do so - late-comers are welcome to join in at any time......just send for your entry pack

    Just a gentle reminder that there are only a couple of days left for Round 1.

    Any late comers to this competition are welcome, and are allowed to catch up.

    Can I also take this opportunity to go over the key points of the competition, as there has been a little bit of confusion:-

    No PCP pistols. Spring, SSP, and MSP only;
    There are 6 rounds, one every month, with Round 1 being June, Round 2 July, Round 3 August, etc;
    There are 6 targets per Round, making a total of 36 targets for the whole competition;
    There are 5 shots per target, making a total of 30 shots per Round, and 180 shots for the whole competition;

    Kind regards,

    Phil

    Hmm, I'm tempted here, does a Baikal 46m qualify?

    You can join in anytime with any SSP, MSP or spring powered .177 pistol and you can also "catch-up" with your June round if you would like to enter now.

    The Baikal is an excellent gun for this competition.

    Catch ups are welcome, you'll just have to shoot Rounds 1 and 2 in July.

    Kind regards,

    Phil

    Entry packs are £12,which includes all official targets, plus some stickers for your gun /case.

    Practice targets can be supplied.

    Unfortunately, due to current postage restrictions, it isn't possible to combine postage due to the total thickness.

    Payment can be made via cheque or paypal, for which the address is:-

    6ympl@classicapa.com

    Please ensure your name and address is included.

    Kind regards,

    Phil

    Welcome to the competition Glyn - nice to see another Somerset shooter join me in this competition - late comers are welcome to join-in at any time so if anyone fancies having a go please let us have your entries at any time

    For the first June round I used my Original Model 10 mk 2 (vintage March 1976) that has recently been rebuilt and re-sealed but is still randomly choosing when to diesel and when not to, so it is good fun trying to anticipate when it will shoot with "normal" or turbo-charged power!

    The pistol is settling down though and it just needs a bit more use to bed it back in again and to burn off any excess oil. More oil seems to find it's way back into the chamber after it has had a nice quiet rest in its new ( slightly modified Steyr) case - but a little less each time - and it does smell good

    To get into the spirit of this classic competition, I found a tin of Eley Match pellets that I bought in 1976 and although they looked a bit "dry and chalky" I thought they would make an ideal accompaniment for the similar aged Model 10 and used these for this round.

    With the aged pistol and pellets it seemed only "proper" to have an aged shooter too - so I was the final piece in this small 3D jigsaw puzzle

    Bob had a four piece jig saw but couldn't do it when he lost the picture.

    I once did a jig saw in 3 months and on the side of the box it said ' 4-6 years' so

    I was doing a 5,000 piece jig saw of a tiger .

    then I found out it was a box of Frosties.

    Thanks to those that have joined this competition late.

    If anyone else would like to join in at any time - please let us know as it is never too late to enter and anyone can join-in at any time

    So far, only the June round has been shot, and if you enter late you can also shoot the rounds you have missed so you don't miss-out on anything at all.
