A mate of mine with some rare Sharp guns (amongst others). He phoned me when he got home to say what a great evening he had chatting to fellow shooters and collectors.

I know where there is one of those George, but I would have to pry it from his cold, dead hands!

Hi John, some wacky stuff there!...Have you got a "thing" for annies by any chance (I remember you saying about the match days of the past, and that foresight especially is a bit special, what is the purpose of the radial scale, cant setting or whatever?).

Sorry I missed it, finding it difficult to get far from home at the mo'

ATB, and regards to Chris and the lads,

    Ed

    Hi Ed

    I hope all is well
It was a very interesting night and that little Sharp pistol was a lovely little gun that attracted quite a few compliments. The sidelever Pantarget was also very nice

This photobucket thing is a bit new to me.
I have been racking my brains to think why the reference to the Anschutz foresight and then i guessed that you must have access to some other pics from earlier days. So I clicked on my first link and it dawned

I had been trying to think of a quick way of showing all the pics from the night without cutting and pasting all the photos and it looks like it is a lot easier than I thought. Hopefully I will not forget how its done.

The Anschutz Superair was my daughters match rifle and the rotating foresight allowed the shooter to cant the gun to the head rather than tilting the head to the rifle, it kept the bar on the element horizontal (although most shooters used the perspex ones)

Paul has a number of guns(maybe duplicates) that he may bring to a future Airgun Fayre to sell

I will delete the surplus links to save confusion

The Sharp pistol is actually a U-FP

Might be confusing the name with U-SL which is a 'hand-rifle' or what we might call a carbine.

His GR-75 is a superb item, especially now it has the correct Sharp co2, Sharp 5mm Pellets and Sharp 4x32 scope to compliment it.
I collect vintage Japanese air rifles & vintage Japanese pellets
Information sought about antique firearms with Japanese markings, do you have one ?
