Bit of a change round this week to get the best of the weather

    Tuesday and friday, then saturday!

Easy Ft has been re-worked with a few extra mini kills as practise for those going to fermany at the end of Agust.
Once Germany is out the way it will revert back to mainly 45mm kills!

Might tweak the Gp practise course tomorrow to make it a bit hardder in preperation for anston and the worlds!

Pop along and enjoy, you will oly become a better shot with more friends.

    The summer is over

Been a busy few last weeks leading up to the World Ft champs in germany.

However, with that over we can now start to plan for winter months and into 2014.

Work to convert the Clubhouse (Container!) into a more Winter friendly clubhouse needs to pick up pace over the next week or three.

Gp practise course was re-jigged yesterday, lots of lane clearing and some target moving to make it basically 20 tough Gp standard shots. May have to do a few more moves target wise as although we shot and hit the 25ml @ 37m yesterday, thats 5m over range!

Easy Ft needs some changing to do away with the 15ml kills and put it back to either 25ml or full size which are a mix of 40 + 45ml kills
Max range to remain 45 yards for full, 35 for reducer.

Plan is to try and revert back to Wednesday for mid week shooting. This however will change from week to week if the weather is bad on a Wedbesday, but fine for example on Thursday! Mis week shooting has become quite popular over the last few months with quite often more there in the week than on saturdays!
Of couse with the nights drawing in this may restrict shooting for most to the Saturdays.

As ever, be great to see more pop down and use the all round facilities.

    Range Check

Another top day at tondu, even the rain held off bar a few sopts.

No 1 son had a bash at easy Ft and was doing ok, but i think i need to to llok at moving the line a meter or two forward so all targets can be shot prone.
    Thats a job for wednesday?

Nice to see a new face in Allen pop along and hopefully we will see him again in the coming weeks, time allowing. Also nice to see Keith make the trip from carmarthen once again, 5 years is too long.
Think he was impressed with the eway the club has moved on over the last couple of years.

Took Acid hands- Gadget round the Gp course.
May have to swap the 37m reducer to the 30m Tree target and switch kneeling lanes.

Other than that, with a good amount of wind, well average for tondu, we had another go at the course.

Gadget struggled in the wind missing 11 of the 20.
I missed 1 which just shows how Awesome the Rig is and how Awesime am I lol

Thats two good sessions this week, rig all working, just hope the same form is there tomorrow when it counts in the comp lol

I'm planning on coming over later (4ish) although weather not looking too good for late afternoon! At least there's the shelter and plenty of tea to go around plus the usually great banter!!! Which just incase anyone ask's is usually coming from me about how many targets I miss (running out of decent excuses why!)

    Plan B

You need a better Job, one that does not get in the way of Shooting!

Just a few there yesterday but good to see some new faces popping up and taking advantage of the facilities.

I missed the 35m last target "Stander" yesterday to clear the gp course, bug ger

I blame Acid hands as he was taking so long to achive a Pb of 17 it went dark lol.

Next Week for me, might do wednesday and friday next week?

    Gp practise /Scope performance.

We re-jigged the Gp Practice course last week.
Its a tough course especially if the wind is up.

Knowing the ranges allow you to see if your scope is coping given the different light condition we sometimes shoot in

I have always said the T35 was a top scope and the most undervalued Ft scope there is!

Looking at Monday, wenesday and friday next week, weather depending??

An other Top day, despite loosing a Gary Cane Stock!

Not as sunny as predicted and if i had know I would have re-done no 1 scopes markings!

Rangefinding was ok apart from around 35 -40 where some alterations are needed on no 1?

We tidied up the Easy ft lanes and re-sprayed the targets which was handy as we then shot them standing and you could see all my splits! Arms dealer I think was impressed with my ability to place a pellet just inside the edge of kill as apposed for going for the easy centr of a 45 ml kill loll!
I missed 5, mainly through laughing and enjoying the banter you always get when he is areound, even missing the plate was a laugh as I was not the only one to do it. Think arms dealer missed 8 but blamed his butt hook lol.

Rd 1 on the Gp course I did with Rev26/ no1 L and missed 3, T2 (Hard one) for a wobble, t12 the 37m Reducer (wrong setting on scope) andn the final 35m stander, close on that.Arms dealer missed 6.
Little wind but arms dealer weas giving more than me, coming out more than i "had" to

Rd 2 and Shunter came with us. First time out for a few weeks and the rusty rails showed as he managed just 7 hits and was over ranging, perhaps time for a winter set up change.

Priest / no27 in no stock took rd 2, not by storm!
I did hit the standers though but missed 6, mainly going low and left? Barrel clean seems to have sorted that!
Arms dealer managed to misss another 6 so we had a "shoot off" on t2 !!! I missed it by half inch wind and he hit it! So i lost No 1 stock thankfully!

    Good laugh all day.
