Dating help

I've just got a Webley Hawk MK2 serail no 34071. I've only managed to find out they date between '71-79. Can anyone narrow this odwn further for me please?

The Hawk MkII was produced with 3 types of stock and the one you have there is the earliest version. That should date it about 1974/5.
The date range 71-79 is for the whole Hawk series from beginning of MkI production to the end of the MkIII.
